Domestic Violence Classes

Our 24-week (state-mandated minimum) education group provides participants with information and practical tools to change violent behaviors. Our domestic violence classes involve discussions about practicing negotiations, positive communication, time-outs, accountability, partnership, support and respect for self and others. Our education curriculum is based on the Duluth Model and includes scenarios, which provide a focal point for group members to analyze intent, effect and power of abusive behaviors.

Atlanta Family Counseling Center is a state-certified Family Violence Intervention Program. Groups take place during the evenings and on Saturdays. We also offer a 48 week domestic violence program. Both men's and women's groups are facilitated by a licensed counselor.
